Director of Human Talent
-
Jun 2013 - Dec 2015
Takami is a fine-dinning and fast food restaurant group in Bogota. Currently has 10 brands represented in 22 different sites around the city. In the past years, the company has faced an exponential growth, by going from 280 employees in 2013 to almost 700 in 2015, and this growth represented an important challenge in my position. Consequently, I led and conducted the human resource processes of: recruiting and selection, performance evaluation and career development. To develop these processes, applied interviews, trial period evaluations, performance evaluations, salary changes, talent mapping, promotions and personnel follow-up with people at all levels in the organization. I also applied the nine-box grid talent methodology and created job descriptions for some of the company's brands. I made a diagnosis of the compensation system used in the organization. I designed an employee evaluation questionnaire based on personal characteristics rather than technical capabilities and coached managers on how to give timely and appropriate feedback. In addition to this, I did workforce planning and created metrics to forecast on employees and recruitment strategies and goals needed for the opening of new restaurants. I led 2 people in charge of recruitment and hiring details for new hires. My position demanded me synergic teamwork with the Director of labour issues, Director of Organisational Culture, Managers of all 10 brands, culinary schools and recruitment agencies.

Sep 2009 - May 2013
Quala is a consumer goods multinational company with Headquarters based in Colombia. Marketing Research is practiced in-house and supports marketing and R&D as main clients. Throughout my experience in Quala, I had the opportunity to occupy various roles inside in the marketing research department, such as: junior consultant, consultant, senior consultant and Head of marketing research in Quala Ecuador. I developed a synergic teamwork with the department of marketing and research & development of products by offering the consumer's perspective and insights when planning and making strategic marketing and sales decisions about the brands. I applied and developed research methodologies such as interviews, surveys and focus groups in order to provide qualitative and quantitative accurate data about consumer preferences about products and marketing strategies. I led the development of partnerships with external marketing research agencies in Colombia. I led the standardization of marketing research methodologies to be applied in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico. And I integrated a quarterly report about advertising campaigns from different countries of operation to identify relevant guidelines for advertising campaigns in the company. As Head of marketing research in Quala Ecuador I led a group of 6 people, supporting and advising on the design, application and interpretation of marketing research methodologies for different products in the country. I supervised the budget of the department. I did workforce analysis and created a new structure to increase the effectiveness of the marketing research department.
