I met Lily almost 10 years ago when she published her first book, Word of Mouth: Nashville Conversations. I was amazed at her talent at such a young age of 26. Over the years, I have watched Lily grow through her career as expert marketer, a writer, a publisher, and a master at the art of the interview. Lily has helped a few of my companies by creating thought provoking content as well as amazing executive bios. I believe Lily’s talent can cross over all creative industries and well as corporate America. Lily is a true professional.

Lily Hansen’s innate curiosity and deep-seated empathy set her apart from other writers I have worked with. She manages to truly understand her subjects, identifying what makes them unique and interesting. From that understanding, she tells their story in a way that is engaging and clear. If you need to have your story told or the story of your business, Lily is the partner you need.

In my Uplevyl video interview series, I interview professional and famous women about how friendship in all forms has impacted their careers. The one-hour interviews, edited into three to five-minute clips, explore each subject's individual path from how they found their chosen career to the lessons they have learned along the way. Each interview is intended to help other women as they navigate their own lives. I write all of the landing page copy for Smart Nomad, a sleek travel app geared towards a cosmopolitan crowd. In each narrative piece, written in a similar vein as Vox publication, I explore cities such as Nashville and New Orleans from the culinary to the club scenes. The articles are written in a fun, cheeky manner intended to inspire readers and guide them on their travels. As a Storyterrace memoir writer, I relay tales from the lives of my subjects who are generally in the last chapter of their life. Through a series of six interviews, I learn about their upbringings, school years, marriages, careers, and retirements. These novellas are intended to educate their living family members about their lives and the lessons learned from them. It is truly gratifying work and fascinating as well in terms of learning about what life was like around the turn of the century until the Depression era.

I create custom coffee table books for organizations and corporations who wish to commemorate a special occasion or have a unique tool to articulate their company culture. My first client was HCA Healthcare whose 50th-anniversary book I created in 2018. The book featured interviews with people from all levels of the company, from the founder and CEO to the nurses, doctors, and janitors. It was said to create unity across their 250,000 person organization and package their culture in a creative format. The books make for an ideal gift for special occasions and a unique recruitment and marketing tool to educate others internally and externally about what makes your company so special: the people.

I curated a three-wall art installation inspired by my brand Word of Mouth Conversations at the Nashville International Airport in terminals A and C and the food court. The year before, I created a year-long art exhibition at Vanderbilt University, featuring photography from my first book and art inspired by it, and co-created a yearlong program of live interviews and events in which I brought in subjects from my books to speak to the university's students.

I edited and wrote 300+ biographies for global wealth management firm Alliance Bernstein. The biographies appear on the firm's new website and are intended to brand each individual and their unique value proposition. They were said to also improve the subject's confidence and ability to speak about their unique business to prospective clients. For this project, I wrote 233 biographies for global architecture and engineering firm Gresham Smith. The biographies, which were used for the firm's resumes, proposals, and marketing materials, featured the stories of their architects, engineers, and interior designers. As the firm pitched projects to prospective clients they wanted a narrative that would help them connect with who was on their team. I interviewed each person for the project and wrote up a 300-word biography explaining the backstory of their career, the passion behind their work, and the unique ingredients that only they bring to the table.
