Euro Girl is a well established, busy fashion supplier. Here my job role is to manage the accounts of BOOHOO where I design ladieswear fashion from creating the first paper pattern to mass production. In my role I also know that maintaining a good relationship with the buyers and garment technologist is also key. I have also learnt vetigraph grading in my time here and work successfully within a small team to meet extremely tight deadlines. Managing the workload has been important, I tend to enlist the help of other hand-knitters for large orders where we deliver garments to tight deadlines. Having a presence in over 10 stores worldwide has been a huge achievement for me and it's been vital for me to manage their stock levels as well as building strong relationships with store buyers as well as my suppliers. My first industry role was at Scantex where I was lucky enough to work alongside the high-street Account Manager, Design Manager and the retail buyers. I gained knowledge of commercial knitwear trends and themes as well as yarns and mass production. I would also be involved in the production process, ensuring all lab dips were checked to the buyer's specifications. It was here that I also initially developed my relationships with overseas factories by having day-to-day contact as well as improving my technical knowledge of knitwear and my Illustrator and Photoshop skills. I was also involved in key, fit meetings and produced design packs for such high-street retailers as Next, Marks & Spencers, Mothercare and BHS. Show less
