  Effectively manage the GEF-SGP (Global Environment Facility – Small Grants Programme) local team, the SGP programme and its portfolio -- from programme strategy to individual project concept and design to technical support to SGP grantees, monitoring and evaluation -- to ensure compliance with the overall approved global SGP Strategic Framework, the SGP Operational Guidelines, the SGP annual work programme, the national environmental priorities, as well as the annual delivery of the national SGP targets. Support the sub-regional programme by: (i) reviewing proposals from the sub-region on a “no objection validation” of approvals done at the country level based on adherence to pre-established sub-regional SGP procedures; (ii) identifying regional partnership and co-financing opportunities; (iii) reviewing and pre-appraising regional type of projects prior to their submission to CPMT; and (iv) guiding the National Focal Persons (NFPs) and the National Focal Groups (NFGs) covered in the sub-region. Build strategic partnerships with development partners, such as donors, foundations, private sector and civil society, to promote SGP and mobilize resources in consultation with the UNDP Country Office and CPMT in accordance with the SGP global operational guidelines. Contribute to GEF-SGP’s efforts to develop effective national, regional and global networks for technical support and knowledge management, within the GEF-SGP and with external institution, including academia.   Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (Chamber) is Samoa's National Private Sector (NPSO). It is an incorporated association of businesses, private sector organisations and business people representing all areas of Samoa's private sector. Chamber's purpose, as provided in its Constitution is "to act as Samoa's National Private Sector Organisation that will promote the interests, well-being and growth of Samoa's private sector at the national, regional and international levels to improve the economic and social well-being of the people of Samoa." Chamber is governed by a 12 member Executive Council, all serving on a voluntary basis. Executive Council members are elected on an annual basis at Chamber's Annual General Meeting, held each March.    Led a team of technical professionals to provide efficient and effective information communication technology products and support services to a range of customers.  As the local company recruited to project manage part of the ADB School Net pilot build phase in 2006, we successfully completed the pilot build for the five primary schools in Upolu and Savaii. Following the success of the pilot build, the second phase of the School Net project was approved by the Asian Development Bank and the Samoan government. Proven experience in conducting in-house training for the help desk staff, engineering, sales and marketing teams.  Counselled, trained and promoted two technical staff to become team leaders of the Engineering Unit and Software Solutions Unit. Ensured facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing within the country office focussing on achieving key results and performance indicators.  Coordinated and organised several successful staff retreats for the UNDP Samoa multi-country office as the Learning Manager. Submission of Staff Retreat reports to UNDP headquarters and one was posted on the UNDP website as a best practice.  Excellent communication and training/outreach skills targeting the following audience - Community-based Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations at grassroots level, government corporations and ministries.  Annual preparation and updating of the Security Plan for Samoa, Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau in close consultations with the United Nations Operations Management Team.
