  During my time in Financial Assurance at PwC (external Audit division), I was involved in the planning, field work and completion of a range of clients including clients listed on the NZX as well as non listed clients. My clients were from a range of industries including Entertainment and Gaming, Retail, and manufacturing. This work has helped me to develop the skills needed to perform the Audit process which has enabled me to: - identify businesses internal control weaknesses including areas which pose a “fraud risk”. - assess additional business risks and how they affect the way an audit will be performed. - understand my clients and the environment with which they operate - understand the preparation and presentation of Financial Statements including reporting requirements and note disclosures. - perform financial analysis over the Financial Statements. - obtain relevant audit evidence which performs a major part of the overall opinion of an audit. - work effectively in a positive team environment (teams ranged in size depending on the size and complexity of the client). - strengthen my team leadership skills through opportunities such as being the "in-charge/lead senior" on various clients in New Zealand - develop effective coaching skills to assist the development of junior members on my audit teams.
