  I work under the Housing Support Program. I assessed and formulated goals related to housing, employment , educational. performed home visits. I work closely with the Employment and Training Counselors in the Welfare to Work to integrate a family plan that meets both Welfare to Work and housing requirements. I work closely with other agencies: such as Family Youth and Children, Legal Aid, Catholic Charities, Family Support Shelter, and YWCA.. I worked with the Family Stabilization Unit to report case information. I did court accompanyments. I attend Linkages Coordination Teams, maintaining a strong liaison . I have a YWCA Domestic Violence certificate. I carry a caseload ensuring case management skills and practices are done in a progressive engagement approach. I make referrals as needed to various agencies and supportive service such as childcare, legal aid referrals, referrals to our mental health department and various others. Specifically to housing, I help client’s create a renters portfolio that includes their master resume, housing searches, and credit reports. During the course of a client’s housing search I advocate by calling potential landlords to incentivize the housing support program and its benefits of working with the program for both landlords and clients. I negotiate subsidy payments, deposits and leases with landlords, property managements, realtors and property owners in a professional, and tactful approach. I perform habitability inspections. cover temporary shelter, gift cards, housing deposits, housing necessities such as mattresses, petty cash, and utility expenses. Created payment agreements.
