Assessment of the Wisseman mine in the Sierra National Forest for compliance of the Plan of Operation (PoO), condition of hazard warning signs and assessment for mine reclamation. Developed a project proposal and 80 page environmental assessment for the reclamation of the Wisseman Mine and presented the final reports to an Interdisciplinary Team (ID Team). Collected, analyzed, and managed ecological, hydrological, and geological data. Collected location coordinates and information on the mine's various adits, shafts, and abandoned mining structures/debris in rugged field conditions over the period of 4 days .Produced several maps on ArcGIS to assist the ID team in locating and determining the appropriate methods on reclaiming the Wisseman Mine. Assessed the conditions of ~12 of the SNF’s abandoned mines for input to future environmental reports. Show less

Conducted research on lake sediment samples in order to document the range of past hydrologic variability and determined the scale of possible future droughts in the San Joaquin Valley. Prepared and analyzed sediment grain size for 3 different ~100-150 cm sediment core sections using instruments such as a Malvern Mastersizer 2000 Particle Analyzer. Presented findings at the CSU Water Technology conference in Fresno, CA in 2015.
