Lil Chan and I worked together under LiveOps for over a year. During this time, She delivered outstanding backgrounds and map screen art for the Bud Farm Idle Tycoon title. As a teammate I found working with Lil to be such a pleasant experience. She is such a talented artist and I am grateful for the fact I got work to work with her.

Lil came to ESG as a referred contractor but quickly showed that retaining her as long as possible was in our best interest. Because of that, almost 3 years later she’s gone on to redefine an already high quality standard for environment art on Bud Farm: Idle Tycoon, injected even more humour and set the precedent for wow factor in our games events. Lil’s buoyant personality and eagerness to set a high bar were evident from day one. She constantly pushes for more but never lets that exceed her timelines. She gives the static backgrounds, buildings and environments she works on life and tells a story (often funny) with her layouts. The detail she works into the event map screens are what players have come to value and what sets Bud Farm apart from its competitors. Working with Lil these years has been a delight, to see her grow with the project and the team has been great, a case not found often with contract artists but it’s been well worth it with Lil. Lil’s skill set extends beyond the work she did for ESG, in which she excelled at complex perspective work and illustration. She’s an extremely well rounded and capable artist and her portfolio shows that versatility. In her time with us at ESG, I witnessed first hand her willingness to grow and learn as she took courses outside of working hours to broaden her skill set. As a long term contractor embedded on a single team, Lil showed she was adept at following direction, had strong communication skills and readily shared feedback, knowledge and skills with the rest of the team. She would be an absolute weapon to any studio lucky enough to secure her for long and short term work.
