It was delight working for Liisa when she selected me to host & emcee the Dress for Success High Tea Annual Fundraiser in 2019. Her straightforward approach to communicating the organization’s vision, approach, & event plan made it easy for me to grasp how my work would fit in to support their strategy. Every interaction I had with Liisa confirmed I was working with a genuine, capable, and truly invested leader. She was goal-oriented, inclusive, and respectful throughout the entire effort. And her knack for generating positive energy while also keeping a team focused on driving results was clear. The fundraiser rocked and that was in no small part due to Liisa's leadership. Most of all, I find Liisa’s passion for empowering others through her work inspiring and magnetic. I would love the opportunity to collaborate with her again!

After volunteering for Dress for Success in Austin, I met Liisa in 2018 during an interview to become a career coach for the same not-for-profit organization in Seattle. She has an infectious embrace for female empowerment as a tireless advocate. Every Thursday I would see Liisa en route to a partnership meeting to support Dress for Success for volunteers, programs and funding. She arrived at the organization in chaos, developed with the board sponsorship a strategic plan, and then executed on hiring a staff for office administration, career development, and management for clothing stylists, sales, and inventory control. What impresses me the most is under Liisa’s Executive Director tenure two job STEM training programs were launched in 2019 including Salesforce Certification in partnership with Slalom Consulting as computer lab host and the Treehouse Jumpstart program, funded by the Gates Foundation, for 20 women achieving a 7 month online Full Stack Java Script tech degree. She has always been a cheerleader for clients and volunteers. My favorite part was her endorsement of celebrations for staff and volunteers on a monthly basis. With Liisa you will experience karaoke, a Finnish spirit, and champagne toasts.
