Encompassing 140 km strike of under explored greenstone belt, which is located across the southern cross province and south western gneiss terrain of the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. A combination of greenfields and brownfields exploration of underground and open pit resources targeting archean shear zone hosted orogenic gold. A key team member in the discovery and delineation of 690,000oz Au mineral resources including Eridanus, Shannon UG, Hill 60 and Symes Find deposits to date.Key responsibilities include: Design, execution and supervision of AC exploration programs targeting regional conceptual models and geochemical anomalies. Supervision of DD and RC open pit resource development programs. Regional geological and regolith mapping. Interrogation, integration and interpretation of open file geological,geochemical and geophysical data sets. Building reliable geological models through detailed logging, pXRF data and interpretation. Mentoring and coaching of junior geologists and field technicians. Timely and accurate monthly and annual reporting. Ensuring all activities are conducted safely and high quality standards are employed for geological data capture and QA/QC management. Liaising with landowners.

Consisting of brownfields exploration of underground and open pit resources targeting archean shear zone hosted orogenic gold and porphyry gold styles of mineralisation. Key responsibilities include: Supervision of DD and RC open pit resource development programs, supervision of AC exploration programs targeting regional conceptual models. Geological and structural logging of geotechnical diamond drilling including deep diamond drilling (up to 1500m) at Morning star deeps deposit. Building reliable geological models through detailed logging, pXRF data and interpretation.

  A site based FIFO role at the Rosemont gold mine, a 1.2 Moz Au quartz dolerite-hosted orogenic gold deposit that produces approximately 100,000 oz pa located in the Duketon greenstone belt of the NE Goldfields, Western Australia. Key responsibilities included: Supervision of RC resource definition and grade control programs, liaising with drilling contractors, geological logging, down-hole cross-sectional plots and interpretation, sample dispatch management, database management and validation. Planning and scheduling of grade control drill programs, ore interpretation and ore block design using Surpac, daily inspections and reporting on ROM tonnes, ROM blend control and management based on material type and grade to achieve maximum throughput.

A total of 300,000 meters was drilled, with up to 27 drill rigs on site at one time, situated at the Lumwana Mining Company, in Solwezi, Zambia. Key skills required included a strong knowledge of excel, excellent organisation and time management, and the ability to recognise a problem and solve it if it is within my area of influence.   My role was Perth based and required me to work 12 hour shifts on a four days on, four days off, four nights on roster. It included preparing iron ore samples for analysis; operating mills, crushers and sorting samples. Within the lab my responsibilities were accurately weighing samples and operating analysing equipment such as Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) machines and fusing beads for the X-Ray Florescence (XRF) machine.
