  As voluntary research associate, I continue my research into the experiences of nursing staff regarding nursing home residents sexual expression and behavior.

  As a research associate, I continue to focus on ethics research concerning aged sexuality in elderly care in general and dementia care in particular. In my research, I seeks to integrate different methods of analysis used in philosophy and social sciences.

  In September 2010 I began working as a researcher at the Centre for Biomedical Ethics and Law. My doctoral research project on sexuality in institutionalized elderly suffering from dementia, falls under the promotion of Prof. Chris Gastmans and co-promotion of Prof. Luc Anckaert. I succesfully defended my doctoral thesis on sexuality in institutionalized older people suffering from dementia in May 2014.
