  In 2019 I got a glimpse of some films that were submitted for the upcoming festival. When the program was established I gave an extra hand organizing and programming the Alumni-Talks and the Meet the Directors. It is the core of Doc Feed to make everybody feel welcome and let directors meet each other during the festival. I had the chance to get some more insight in the organisation and the programming of a documentary festival. At the same time, due to the Meet the Directors and as a moderator, I was able to learn, get inspired and exchange great ideas. Show less

  Together with Video Power I worked on my first documentary “Tweespraak” which portrays a small city in The Netherlands roiled by ethnic tensions. The film starts of with the city’s former mayor explaining why he felt compelled to act firmly. As other characters are introduced, the narrative becomes more diffuse. What starts as simply finding a solution to a problem, ends up touching a fundamental question: how to bridge differences within a community without making anyone an outsider. Since 2003, they make sure that taboo topics are discussed in the classroom.As a Project Assistant, I work on innovative forms of informal education in collaboration with education itself and public and private organizations. For example MIND Young Academy: a national program where peer educators open a conversation on psychological health in the classroom to identify and prevent complaints at an early stage.
