      I was responsible for public relations and marketing programs for The National Needlearts Association (TNNA), the international trade organization (over 2k members) for knit, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, spinning and weaving industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Planned and executed all strategic marketing programs and targeted campaigns to promote the needlearts through the media, special events, trade shows, surveys and marketing research. • Consulted with, and advised, Executive Director, Board of Directors, Product Segment Groups, Committees, and members-at-large to develop an extensive portfolio of initiatives. • Involved in the production of, and recommendations for, press materials, newsletters, media buys, special events and trade shows, membership videos, media campaigns, articles and marketing collateral. • As an integral member, participated on a variety of association committees tasked to conceptualize, implement and execute consumer-targeted and industry-focused programs. Highlights include: Guinness Book of World Records – Executed campaign logistics to achieve “Most People Crocheting Simultaneously” at a NY Mets game at Citi Field. Media placements in NY Post, NY Daily News & NY Magazine. 10 Year Partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) – Stitch N’ Pitch consumer awareness program events are held at ballparks where needlearts enthusiasts knit, crochet and stitch while watching the game. The program attained 90% market penetration year three with 27/30 MLB teams holding an event. $1 Million in Publicity – Obtained the equivalent of $1 million in PR for the Stitch N’ Pitch campaign with significant media placements such as NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Westways/AAA, NPR, Associated Press, & NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox in major television news markets.
