    • Intercultural Management Course
      • Nov 2014 - Nov 2014

In November 2014 I was lucky enough to be one of 10 students chosen to attend a week long course in Hannover, Germany based on academic merit. This was an intensive and challenging programme which allowed me to interact and form relationships with other students from many different countries such as Germany, The Netherlands, China and Finland. The aim of the course was to enable students to understand the dimensions of culture in both national and corporate settings, as well as apply knowledge about culture with mixed international teams under pressure. This course allowed me to put my communication skills to the test working in a group of mixed nationalities and also to push myself to work efficiently and effectively under high pressure time constraints. It was an extremely rewarding experience which enabled me to value, respect and adapt to any cultural differences or conflicts the group faced. Contents of the course included: ▪ Concepts of culture (Hofstede,Trompenaars) ▪ Aspects of intercultural team building ▪ Group development ▪ Personalities and Belbin`s team roles ▪ A 6 page scientific report and 20 minute role-play within a 24 hour deadline Grade Awarded: A Show less
