Het NatuurCollege is in 2000 opgericht met als doel de relatie tussen mens en natuur te agenderen en versterken. De gedachte hierbij is dat die relatie van groot belang is voor de ontwikkeling van de individuele mens, evenals voor de samenleving als geheel. De huidige veel omvattende crisis, gekenmerkt door problemen als klimaatverandering en de eenzaamheidsepidemie, extreme ongelijkheid en grootschalig gebrek aan zingeving, wordt door ons begrepen als in essentie voortkomend uit een verlies van contact met de natuur. In die zienswijze is de duurzaamheidsproblematiek het gevolg van het verloren gaan van het bewustzijn dat mens en natuur deel uitmaken van een onderling verbonden, intrinsiek waardevol geheel. Deze ‘binnenkant van duurzaamheid’ is voor de ontwikkeling van een florerende, toekomstbestendige samenleving even onontbeerlijk als de technische en beleidsmatige ‘buitenkant.’ Het herstel van ons contact met de natuur is dan ook van het allergrootste belang. Topics of coaching include: individual and group learning goals and qualities, team roles and dynamics, dealing with conflict, giving and receiving feedback, consultancy qualities, academic and consultancy quality of the product.
