Liam has grown from strength to strength over the last 18 months and continues to impress at every level. Enthusiastic with an infectious lovable personality and passion to be the best makes Liam a superstar employee and team member. Congratulation on becoming the Assistant General Manager of an extremely busy indoor karting track, very well deserved.

Liam is a hard working, down to earth guy. If you want a straight, clear, and thoughtful answer that gets straight to the point Liam is 100% the man for the job. Having known Liam for three years I have quickly found him to be reliable and dependable, and someone who you can trust to deliver a task. If there is one word I would empathise for Liam, its trust. Liam is a man you can trust to get the job done.

As a DM, I handled the day's takings, daily checks and the performance of all staff members. I am also responsible for the overall running of the site, liaising with the General Manager and the rest of the team to ensure that we are performing to the best of our abilities. I motivate my team to ensure that we are running on time, pushing sales and providing a high calibre of customer service.

As a track marshal, I ensure that all customers are enjoying themselves in a safe and secure environment. Go Karting, as thrilling as it may be, is also very dangerous especially when done wrong. As a marshal, I try to make sure people learn from their mistakes to ensure they can get the most of their experience. When there are ever any incidents, I'm always there on hand immediately to ensure customers are all right. As an Event Host, I make sure that customers are always hyped and full of energy before they go on track. Even though it is my job to get customers excited about their sessions, I have to also make them all aware of the dangers and what the rules are. Portraying these rules is imperative to the safety of the customers as well as the Track Marshals.

I aided the Aviation Technology Department during Open Days and Applicant Days. These were great ways for me to meet new people and gain valuable experiences. It's great that I could actively promote a University and course that I have come to love and be extremely grateful for. • Camp Counselor
      • Jun 2017 - Aug 2017

My main role was to look after 15 children in a bunk and ensure they thoroughly enjoy their summer, trying to get the most out of camp. Constantly putting the children first - it's their summer.I was also a Ropes Specialist for the duration of Camp. Here, I worked at the Rock Wall with a dedicated team of trained specialists. Communication Skills were impeccable, as we had the safety of children in our hands. Even though safety was paramount at the Rock Wall, I had to ensure that the children were getting the most out of the 45 minute period and enjoying themselves.I was a pro-active, working independently and effectively as part of the team. The job was very hard work, constantly trying to perform my best and ensure that everyone is enjoying themselves. The reaction of the children was priceless knowing that I had made a huge impact on their lives.

Over the course of June 2016, I completed my PPL (Private Pilot's License) with AFT at Sherburn Aero Club. It was an amazing month putting everything I had learnt over my first year at University into practice. There was indeed a very steep learning curve at the beginning of the month as there was a lot to get used to, from learning Radio calls to flight planning. However, it was an amazing experience and a huge insight into the world of aviation, even on a small scale flying privately. My duties included, turning (converting square bars into round, circular bars for CNC Machines), milling (setting up computer systems to run and manufacture plastics automatically). I also worked in the manual area of the work shop where I made: - washes on lathes, white disks for aerospace parts, I also worked in goods in/out and dispatch where I learnt all about what happens to the material that arrives into the workshop and how goods that have been manufactured are sent out.
