As the Head of multiple departments/teams, a more holistic view of the business was required. Major functions of this role were finding ways to improve processes across the business, and identification and management of risk. In January 2020, the additional responsibility of the management of Product Owners was added to the role.Project Executive for a successfully delivered internal business project migrating Healthcare Gateway infrastructure onto AWS, delivered on time and within budget. Transformed the existing Projects team into a group that was setup and capable of managing entire NHS projects, resulting in earlier engagement with customers, often before services were contracted, to define the scope and requirements allowing the deployment of services in a timely manner. Ensured a healthy backlog of items for development throughput. Continuously improved processes to reduce the lead time for the deployment of a project from 14 to 8 weeks, ensuring recognition of revenue earlier than budgeted. Self-taught in the use of Power BI to create reports as evidence for the adequacy of the teams’ resource, to highlight to the SLT the risks of not achieving the revenue target, and to demonstrate deficiencies in the setting of sales and revenue targets. This enabled more accurate estimates for the setting of the budget in subsequent years. Responsible for the setting and management of the team’s operational budget, including pay for performance increases, training budget, team headcount and license and equipment budget. Worked with the Management Team to ensure smooth day to day running of the business, implementation of business continuity processes, and identification and management of high scoring risks and issues. Production of relevant reports. Represented the business on an interoperability working group for a leading industry trade organisation.

Engaged with NHS authority figures and project stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of MIG services as per the contract, involving the right stakeholders at the right time. Ensured that the required tasks were identified and completed by stakeholders in order for the contracted services to go live within the required timeframe.
