Position duties: Maintaining garden plants, raking paths, weeding, pest control, identification and labeling plants, pruning trees and shrubs, managing compost, interpretation, working with volunteers, policing rules of garden politely, and maintaining interpretive materials in garden.       Acadia Youth Technology Team Intern June, 2011 through August, 2011 • Worked with three other high school interns along with two college age leaders with the goal of researching and planning ways to improve ANP through the use of technology. June 2012 through August, 2012 • Worked with a select group of high school students and a college age leader to research and implement technology in the National Park with the goal of fostering a new generation of stewards while not detracting from the classic visitor experience that Acadia never fails to provide. January 2013 through June 2013 • Assisting Ardrianna McLane (Partnerships, Outreach, and Youth Ranger) in preparing plans for AYTT 2013. • Researching the latest technology and checking it’s compatibility with ANP budget and existing resources to ensure sustainable and cost effective designs are produced in the coming AYTT season. June 2013 through August 2013 • Continued work from 2012, working with tech team on project implementation. • Worked with new evaluation fellow to evaluate effectiveness of projects in Ranger Led Programs within Acadia National Park.
