  In June, 2019, I completed a week of work experience as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Institute for Molecular Biology at the University of Queensland through a school Work Experience Program. I conducted numerous tests in a laboratory setting, learning how to use a variety of advanced scientific equipment, and developed research documents for my supervisor regarding the phylogeny and biology of a newly discovered spider species.
