As head of Social Media I manage The Edinburgh Collective’s Social media accounts planning, overseeing and creating content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. I write copy and captions for the different posts, and use Canva, Procreate and CapCut to design graphics and promotional video content for all of these. When scheduling, Facebook’s Business Meta is my go to platform, as it allows to keep everything in one place. Our main organisational tool is Notion, particularly the task manager function. As writer and copywriter I also write and edit B2B emails, invitations and reviews. Show less

    • Projects Intern
      • May 2022 - Sep 2022

As a Projects Intern at Beyond Borders Scotland I provided support in the organisation and delivery of Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship Programme activities, namely the August 2022 Programme that took place in person in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders from Sunday 21st August to Monday 29th August. The August 2022 Fellowship Programme focused on the Arts as a Tool for Peacebuilding and explored the contribution of the arts and culture to peacebuilding and conflict resolution. My position allowed me to put into practice and further develop time management and organisational skills in order to meet deadlines in various areas: organising travel; compiling necessary documentation for the application of VISAs; liaising with venues and caterers; editing, designing and producing informative booklets for print and diffusion; designing schedules; budgeting and expense recording; event planning and overseeing; updating BB's website. I worked closely with WordPress, Canva, DropBox, Microsoft Office, Google Drive and travel platforms (KeyTravel and Diversity). Working with a small team enabled me to strengthen my team working and communication skills. During BB's international festival, I was able to test my skills of working under pressure. Due to an unforeseen crisis, I took on an additional role, stepping in for my supervisor. I provided live translation from Spanish to English, organised and oversaw a food tasting event for Basque-American author Marti Buckley, liaised with travel companies and, with the support of the wonderful women participating in the fellowship and the BB team, helped to successfully close the fellowship and festival. Conscious Change is a student-led Social Enterprise based in Edinburgh promoting everyday changes to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. As Social Media Coordinator I managed and created content for Instagram and Facebook through close collaboration with a second Social Media Coordinator, the Graphic Designer and Events officer. Using Canva, I created posts containing information on a wide range on topics, including tips on how to lead a sustainable life in Edinburgh as well as resources to promote system change. Primarily through Facebook, I promoted events organised by Conscious Change and reached out to other societies and groups within and outside the University of Edinburgh to help attract more participants. In order to foster closer engagement with Conscious Change's followers, as well as attract newcomers, with help from all the members of the social media team, I uploaded content on a daily basis, including interactive material such as quizzes or suggestion boxes, and organised take overs by, for example, owners of local sustainable business.
