  C501 Moorgate Shaft£80m Crossrail: Liverpool Street Station Advanced Works, Moorgate Shaft, London The main works are a 35x35x55m deep shaft for the new Crossrail Liverpool Street Station, Western Ticket Hall. The project involves demolition, pile removal, diaphragm walling, mass excavation, steel frame and heavy RC works. This also involves retaining existing adjoining Listed properties; diverting a main sewer; utility diversions; sewer strengthening; settlement monitoring and various temporary works schemes.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding and supervising fixing of complex steel works, management of temporary works structures, setting out and control required to carry out RC works, HSQE management, as-builts of completed works, use of CAD.Peters Village and Medway Valley Crossing Design and build project which I acted as trainee site engineer on the structures packages. Structures included a post tensioned cast in-situ bridge spanning 150m across the river Medway. This structure included construction of temporary jetties, cofferdams and falsework. I managed on site actvities of construction of the embankments on either side of the river, coordinating bulk earthmoving plant to ensure that strict compaction and long term settlement criteria are achieved. In parallel to this I managed the construction of 580m of sheet pile river wall, tie backs, capping beam and landscape solution. mResponsibilitiesSetting out of structures, earthworks, temporary work.
