Dragon camps is a sports camp for children to attend during the summer holidays. My role at the camp was a multi sport coach where I planned, delivered and monitored the sports sessions. The job allowed me to get first hand experience on planning and delivering sessions, reflecting on what was good about each session and what I could improve on for next time. Working for Acta marine as a wind turbine transfer deckhand, I developed many professional skills which has shaped me into a mature, professional, hard Worker through this demanding job. On a 3 weeks on 3 weeks off basis, this allowed to be able to keep working for the LEA part time on my 3 weeks off. My duties for working onboard were ensuring the safety of all passengers, delivery of safety procedures in the case of an emergency, engine and safety checks, general maintenance onboard, ensuring the safety when transferring the technicians from the vessel to the turbine, transferring their equipment from the vessel to the turbine, and assisting the captain. Part time. During my time working for the LEA I experienced working in an ASD unit for children between the ages of 5-9. My first hand experience was something which Made me want to become a educational teacher. My duties included supporting children with their work, managing behaviour, assisting children in physical or emotional needs and general assistant to the unit teacher. While working in the unit I obtained my Timian training qualification. This allowed me to assist staff in managing children’s challenging behaviours. Show less
