I currently work in the finance department at Economy Energy, my main job role is to approve and process refunds by using SAGE/Nexum accountancy systems to first locate the payment, investigate into why we are paying this amount and if it's plausible refund the balance. I also allocate payments and resolve agents queries. I also work on ADDAC, AUDDIS, ARUDD, ARUC and AWAC reports. I work alongside other departments to better the processes in place while maintaining a structure. My main responsibilities are: - Processing payments and allocating receipts - Issuing customer refunds - Resolution of queries resulting from invoicing/Payments - Accurate data entry into the system and updating spreadsheets - Detailed account reconciliations - Monitoring of inter-company payments & administering amendments where necessary - Working closely with the other department to ensure inaccuracies are corrected Show less

Customer Service Agent

Jun 2016 - Jun 2017
I worked for First Utility for just over a year, in this time I have worked in a lot of different sections and with a lot of different people to ultimately better the customer experience and understand customers’ needs. My initial role within the company was a customer service adviser in which I would solve and acknowledge customer issues before it turns into a complaint. I have a wide range of knowledge of the energy industry and this made my job easier from dealing with erroneous transfers to basic billing issues. My second role within the company is my current role of being a financial adviser, in this role I arrange payment plans for customers who either requested this or are in serious arrears and need financial guidance. I would work with debt management companies, for example, Payplan, Citizens Advice and Step Change to discuss the best options for the customer in terms of repayments while looking at their income and expenditure. While dealing with these customers it is always important to know that behind the telephone is a person just like you and me so I would work alongside the ombudsmen complaints to ensure that the way the company load debt or contact customers regarding debt is done in the correct manner. I would assess accounts to make sure that we contact customers while the debt is minimal before it escalates. Show less

Sales Assistant

Aug 2015 - Jan 2016
I worked for Maplin Electronics for 6 months in these 6 months I was a part of the sales team to increase revenue for the company by using different sales techniques to achieve a greater goal, for example I was trained in a step by step walkthrough of how to open, negotiate and close a sale, looking for buying signals and using open questions so the conversation never closes. Also from this job I have experience in selling finance to customers and what sort of documents and credentials one would need to take out finance with a company, I completed many applications within my time mostly for CCTV units. Along with this, I was also a sales assistant so of course, I did the basics, Stock control, Stock take, till trained, product knowledge trained, tickets and price changes and reports. Show less
