  Working within a talented Devops team, I was a huge part in migrating large connected vehicle data messaging platforms from an old legacy EC2 instance setup into a new containerised Kubernetes platform that we built. The Migration was instrumental in enabling a platform that used CI/CD to help speed up development lifecycles and allow developers to have more control over their deployments. IaC was deployed using Bitbucket pipelines and Kubernetes applications we deployed using Argo CD.   Working within the infrastructure team at Thomson Reuters. My focus was maintaining and expanding our cloud infrastructure within the Amazon Web Services infrastructure. Key Responsibilities and Achievements • I am responsible for supporting and building our test environments. • I Researched configuration management tools such as Puppet and Ansible and decided which option would work best for our infrastructure. • Implemented Puppet into our test environments automating the build-out of our infrastructure, this took a manual process with potential for human error and taking a non-trivial amount of time and made it so we could build entire environments within minutes • Developed, maintained and version controlled Terraform standards and templates, that were used to build out our environments • I am responsible for creating IAM roles to allow and deny users access to specific resources within the AWS Infrastructure • Working closely with the developers and change team to implement new features and releases into our production environment • I developed a solution in Python to automate the creation of Terraform code. • I have experience working with F5 BigIP devices troubleshooting network issues within them, adding virtual servers to route traffic through them and managing whitelists • I redesigned our AWS Production environment to work over the internet utilizing the features within AWS such as load balancers and auto scaling groups allowing for high availability across multiple availability zones. • I am responsible for running daily checks in our AWS infrastructure to ensure that our resources are in a healthy state • I am a part of an On-Call rota that provides out of hours support to multiple applications in the event of an outage or incident. • Developed a custom job uploader in node.js with a built in api Show less
