  As a design engineer for emergency one, I am tasked on a daily basis to read through and understand customer specification, liaise with the customer. To come up with the best solution in any aspect of a fire appliance. Taking this information I can then design the bodywork (rear end of a fire appliance, eg. lockers etc..) also all workshop drawings for manufacturing. Coming up with new ideas to save time and better the design is key feature in my job role.
