Aside from the physical requirements of the job, I, along with fellow young artists, made connections within local communities, advocated for equality, and worked together in a close-knit group environment. Some of the duties of this position included ceramics work, landscaping/gardening, welding, tile making and grouting, cement work, steel work, and plasma cutting. Over the course of the summer, as a group, we made, screen printed, and installed over 200 square feet of ceramic tiles, planned an Arid LID garden and proposed it to the ABQ Parks and Rec Department, and held a Dedication Ceremony at Mesa Verde Park.
