  I am an intern at ALIVE and currently work mainly on ALIVE's 24-hour crisis line. I answer crisis calls for victims of intimate partner violence and provide emotional support and information on domestic violence resources and shelters within the greater Saint Louis Area. I also do assessments that evaluate whether a client is eligible to join ALIVE's emergency housing services.   As a summer intern in Dr. Christine Reyna’s Social and Intergroup Perceptions Lab, I established foundational advanced skills in in-person community data collection, Qualtrics survey building, Institutional Review Board application writing, literature search and review, data coding, and data analysis. I have submitted a poster abstract to present at the Society of Personality and Social Psychology’s annual conference. I was certified in non-violent crisis intervention and played a crucial role in ensuring the emotional and physical safety of children with special needs and children who didn't need an inclusion aide. I aided when in crisis and participated in activities with the children to ensure the adequate emotional support required to ensure the children could have fun in a safe and inclusive social environment.
