Dr. Patrick Gaffney

I have had the privilege of working with Leticia for the last two years and have worked closely with her during that time in my role as Principal. Lectica is everything one could hope for in a school counselor. She is professional, caring, and hardworking and pays close attention to detail. Her knowledge and experience of social emotional learning make her an asset on campus. She is one of our go to resources for our social justice initiatives and she does all our 504 counseling and oversees their implementation. No easy feat with over 50 students on 504’s. Leticia effectively deals with students, staff and parents hearing all sides and working to find solutions, while holding all members accountable to the agreements reached. Leticia will observe classes to identify areas and get a real feel for both sides of an issue. As our middle school and high school counselor, Leticia plans and organizes all our evening guidance presentations including grade level nights, FAFSA, and A-G. She also does our college fairs including having students visit UC Davis, Sacramento State and UOP. As a member of the student services team she is also involved in master schedule, youth council and other school wide functions. Leticia demonstrates strong relationship building skills and is very effective in addressing the personal and social-emotional issues of children but is aware of her scope of practice and will refer students as appropriate.
