A hands-on Manager who is accountable for creating, implementing, and managing the day-to-day operations for all the Human Resources functions. Specific duties include: • Recruit and retain high quality talent. • Work with outside agencies on placement of temporary staff. • Provide management and employee coaching and counseling to address and resolve sensitive employee relations issues. Encourage staff to address these issues through our open-door policy. • Along with the Society Directors, develop and implement an on-boarding program for the organization. • Develop and implement with the Director of Talent and CEO an overall organizational professional development plan for staff. • Conduct new employee orientations. Design and develop changes to the orientation process for overall effectiveness. • Developed and administer the performance management review process. • Manage the staff position descriptions and job evaluation process. • Administer the health, dental, vision and disability benefit plans and reconcile the benefit plan accounts. • Work with outside brokers and administrators on the Society retirement plans to see that the programs are successfully administered and maintained. • Create, update and maintain the employee handbook. Provide interpretation to staff and managers. • Prepare the Society’s annual salary and benefits budget. Regularly work with the Director of Finance to assure that we stay within budget throughout the fiscal year. • Responsible for the payroll process and reconcile all payroll accounts. • Responsible for staff timekeeping and attendance records. • Manage the employee service recognition program. • Experience with supervising staff.
