  Developed and implemented communication & fundraising strategies; overseeing donor engagement and a resulting increase in fundraising revenue. I expanded the annual report to become a tool for donor education, began advertising and submitting editorials for various magazines, and led several website redesigns. I created a biennial 70+ page magazine which was received by 3,000 - 4,000 people each year. Presenting stories and reports from all ACCIR international partners to the Australian donor base, I covered complex topics such as poverty, sustainability and empowerment in ways that engaged various audiences.

  ACC International Relief provides grassroots solutions to address issues of poverty in various communities overseas. My role as a Field Worker was to support an existing project in Thailand; a local Foundation. With a team of 9 Australians plus Thai leadership and staff, the Foundation partners with the Thai government, local community and religious leaders to facilitate community development training and projects. I offered support to the Foundation specifically in the areas of fundraising and promotions, writing project proposals, donor engagement and reporting. This included scripting and filming short videos, created fundraising materials and public speaking at fundraising events in Australia.

  I specialised in assisting community and not-for-profit groups access funding from both government and philanthropic providers. I researched a variety of industries and government priorities to write funding applications for clients across a range of sectors, including health, education, youth services and sport and recreation. My role was to support organisations through the application process, as well as to train their staff to manage their grant writing internally. I also wrote regular articles for publication in magazines such as Anthill Online, Smart Company and My Business.
