Lesley and I enjoy a long standing professional relationship whereby I have seen her lead and build the Institute of Export & International Trade, to becoming the CEO of Export Bootcamps. Her detailed knowledge and experience, coupled with her passion and enthusiasm, positions her as one of the most knowledgeable and professional industry leaders we have in International Trade. I regularly call upon Lesley to participate in forums, panels and external events. Key projects include: • Reforming and modernising the charitable legal governance of the Institute • Introducing digital provision of education using latest technologies and efficient knowledge transfer allowing flexibility of study in a world of commerce that crosses time zones • Developing an award-winning Guru online website offering soundbite answers to common questions about international trade • Achieving Ofqual awarding organization status to underpin and enhance the education offering and support the quality of a small and niche education body • Developing a student journey that progresses from 16 through to a Masters’ Degree • Building a voice and representation at highest levels of government and influence • Regular contributions to Media from BBC radio and TV, national journals and trade magazines allowing the perception of ‘getting international trade right’ to grow This is principally achieved by the provision of qualifications, training and practical support, a helpline and one-to-one assistance with paperwork.
