Student Liaison Officer
-
Nov 2014 - Nov 2015
Student-Staff Liaison Meetings are mechanisms for discussing matters relating to programmes and programme delivery. My role is to review any of the issues or concerns raised by students or staff members regarding the modules being run on my course. Anything that is not running smoothly for students, staff, or both, should be raised at the meetings. Positive feedback is also encouraged to be discussed as it is key to the programme directors. Student-Staff Liaison Meetings enable me to be involved as an active partner in: • informing and enhancing teaching, learning, assessment and content of programme modules, through both formal and informal channels. • providing advice from the student perspective with regards to programme planning and development. • providing feedback on the availability, sufficiency and appropriateness of learning resources. • informing and where appropriate improving the organisation and management of the programme. • facilitating a fair and equal University experience for the diverse members of the student population. • providing a written or verbal report on student views at all appropriate committees.

Sales Assistant

Sep 2013 - Sep 2015
I am a key member of a sales assistant team that is expected to give customers the highest quality of customer service I can. The tasks that are required of me include replenishing the clothes on the shop floor, which allows there to be a range of sizes available for customers to try on. When I am responsible for the fitting room I am required to communicate with the customer in order to allow them to feel comfortable and encourage what the best piece/pieces of clothing that suits them. At the till I have the opportunity to use different sales techniques depending on the customers personality in order to sell our store card. Overall I have to be as accommodating as possible in order to make sure the customer does not leave our store disappointed.
