Technical research in control systems, nonlinear systems, Kalman filters, and system modeling and simulation. Research in control systems allowed for the exploration of dynamic system regulation, from the simplest to highly complex and interconnected systems. Working with nonlinear systems expanded the understanding, as these systems often challenge conventional control methods. The implementation of Kalman filters was fundamental for dealing with systems with delays, making control solutions more robust and precise. Additionally, system modeling and simulation played a vital role in the research, enabling the creation of detailed models to study the theoretical behavior of systems before practical implementation. Collaborations with colleagues and professors, presentations of findings at academic conferences, and knowledge exchange further broadened perspectives and fueled the search for innovative solutions. In summary, the master's experience provided a solid foundation in technical research in control engineering, motivating the ongoing pursuit of advancements in this field in future career endeavors. The difficulty faced by individuals with disabilities in feeling integrated into society, whether in social or professional contexts, has always been a problem. In response to this, new technologies have been created to try to minimize these effects. Regarding individuals with physical disabilities, specifically those with mobility challenges, the goal of these technologies is to facilitate or sometimes enable safe mobility for these individuals. Based on this, the idea of developing a self-balancing wheelchair was conceived, aiming to maximize the mobility of wheelchair users with the least possible effort from the individual. The project's premise is efficiency, meaning delivering the best performance at the lowest cost for the user. The goal is to develop the project over a twelve-month period, utilizing resources from IFSC, while leveraging existing technologies, enhancing the team's skills and knowledge, and building upon previous work done at the institution.
