What I enjoy the most about working with Leonard is his vision. While I believe that I have good taste and know the style in which I want to live, I consult Leonard before making any significant investment in home improvements, office renovation, and/or furniture acquisition. I've come to learn that my sense of style and my eye for nice, interesting, and unique things — as good, and as appropriate for me, as they might be — do not qualify as a cohesive vision. Engaging Leonard is a lesson in "what I don't know." I'll give you a recent example. Leonard and I are in the process of redoing my backyard (hard- and soft-scape). When a third party suggested placement of the water element in an area that might save me a little bit of money, Leonard quickly pointed out how that placement would completely throw off the symmetry that we've worked so hard to achieve. Another example is when we were redoing the lighting in my house. The electrician suggested several placements for the new "lighting cans." Leonard took one look at the suggested configuration and rearranged it so that I now have specially defined areas wonderfully lit throughout the house. Another great advantage of working with Leonard is that he has the has the training of an architect, an architecture degree, an architectural background, and is also a designer — not only does he know how a room/yard/piece of furniture should look, he knows how to construct it. The result is great execution and delivery. I highly recommend Leonard for architecture, interior and furniture design, as well as furniture fabrication.

Leonard Temes has the Midas Touch and excellent training in architecture, interior design and furniture design. I have known him for 15+ years and had the pleasure of following a few of his various transformations and furniture designs when I lived in Los Angeles. Leonard has been a perfect fit in designing a truly unique rustic barn style timber frame home in Woodstock, NY. Many of the craftsmen who helped build it have said they have never seen such fine detail. Stunning work and great collaborator for 3 years. Photos of his work have been posted at barnonthepond.com/info and flickr.com/upstatebeauty. Thank you Leonard for a job very well done. Hopefully we can do it again!
