Len and I worked together at Stantec in Vancouver, both of us in Senior Leadership roles. I didn't have the opportunity to work with Len directly on projects, although came to know him well through the preparation of numerous multidisciplinary campus/project proposals. I have always been impressed with Len's enlightened, holistic approach to his work generally, and specifically, his understanding and appreciation for the synergistic function of his Landscape Architects throughout the entire design process. Unlike many Architects I've experienced, Len purposefully creates a creative, collaborative atmosphere for his entire project team to generate their best, uninhibited work. This attitude speaks volumes to me about the "apropos" quality of Len's design solutions!

Len is an unusually innovative problem solver, solution designer and visionary. I have had the great fortune of working with him on several projects with Stantec, including the Stantec Asset Management System (SAMS), which he conceptualized and led. Len has a breadth of knowledge that allows him to participate in any domain, yet his specialized skills in "the hard stuff" are truly compelling. Len sees the big picture where others can’t, and resolves issues with a combination of strong business acumen, product management and leadership. Without reservation, I recommend Len to govern any project.
