Judicial Honor Council
-
2017 - 2019
During my time at Nueva, I was part of a small group of students who were selected to research and implement a formal Judicial Honor Council at The Nueva School. The role of the council is to participate and provide student representation in judicial cases when students break school rules. Due to the need for complete confidentiality for such cases, the JHC members have been chosen for their utmost integrity, empathy and trustworthiness. During the summer of 2018 I worked closely with Kay Young, a professional artist working in San Francisco. I also did research for Ms. Young’s newest project, which involved learning how to 3D model and print reliefs. Pre-College Student
-
Jun 2017 - Aug 2017
At the RISD pre-college program I was able to experience life as college student in an intensely creative and hardworking cultural setting. For six weeks, I lived like a college student and enjoyed a rigorous and demanding college-level studio curriculum. My major was in Illustration and my minors included Graphics, Drawing and Spacial Design. Intern - Tech Office
-
Aug 2016 - Aug 2016
As a summer intern in Nueva’s Tech Office, I gained real world experience in working in a critical services organization. I learned how to repair and recondition laptops, how to manage a 1:1 laptop program for the entire high-school student population, and gained insights into how the broadband network is operated and maintained. The role was highly suitable for a student like me who understands the importance of being organized, being detailed-oriented while having the big picture in mind and has the ability to plan ahead to meet goals.
