Plant Prefab is a VC funded startup (backed by Obvious Ventures, Anchorage Capital, Amazon’s Alexa Fund, WTI). Based on the need for more affordable and sustainable home construction in the growing urban infill market, Plant Prefab, is the first factory in the nation dedicated to sustainable construction materials, processes and operations. Plant manufactures custom single and multi-family homes that are high quality, healthy, and durable. By building off-site with full time staff, Plant delivers low cost homes in half the time and with less waste than traditional site-based general contractors. Plant is targeting individuals, developers and architects who want a more reliable, time saving, and cost efficient solution for the custom homes they have designed or want to build. While at Plant, I was the CFO. I closed Series A funding of over $8M from top tier VC investors (Obvious Ventures, Anchorage Capital, Amazon’s Alexa Fund) and alternate sources of funding (WTI-Venture Debt and Convertible Notes). As part of M&A activity, I successfully acquired all of LivingHomes assets and associated IP and integrated these into Plant Prefab. Show less

Transonic Combustion is a cleantech VC funded startup (backed by Khosla Ventures, Venrock, Rustic Canyon, Saints Capital, Silicon Valley Bank, TriplePoint) that developed supercritical fuel injection systems that enabled injection ignition in internal combustion engines. While at Transonic, I was CFO. I conducted roadshows and closed a Series C and later a Series D funding round of over $32M in company’s largest round of funding from Khosla Ventures, Venrock, Rustic Canyon, and Saints Capital. I also obtained alternate sources of funding from key Silicon Valley investment groups (SVB, TriplePoint). I oversaw the controllership including the General Ledger, A/P and A/R, billing and tax reporting, balance sheet stewardship, financial policy and procedure compliance and annual audits with independent auditors. I managed key relationships with financial institutions, suppliers, strategic partners and government agencies. I developed board and investor presentations as well as the 5-year business plan. On the administration/operations front, I managed all the lines of insurance (D&O, Worker’s Comp, Health, Property, GL). I managed all Legal and HR issues including IP protection, corporate legal and employee / labor relations.
