My summer project, was the Shop Your Block event. The purpose of the event was to attract customers to the local shops and businesses using sales, activities, and entertainment. I spent the summer recruiting businesses to participate, coordinating activities, writing the promotional materials, working with the city to get permits for different aspects of the events (an interesting experience for better and for worse), and making a formal timeline which others can follow to coordinate the event it the future.
