      I-4 Ultimate Design-Build (FDOT), Orlando, FL ($2.3 Billion)I was part of both the substructure and superstructure design teams for three curved third level steel box girder flyover ramp structures connecting I-4 and SR 408 in downtown Orlando. The curved steel box girder structures included: varying width gore structural units, highly curved structural units, and structural units with integral supports. The pier types on the project included straddle bents, two-column bents, and hammerhead piers with column heights in excess of 60 ft. The piers were all founded on either pile foundations or drilled shaft foundations. The total bridge length for these bridges was in excess of 7000 feet and included 41 substructure units.My major design tasks included: Abutment design, Global pier stiffness determination, Deck design, Pier geometry, Reinforcement detailing, and Box girder design for 1 superstructure unit along with assisting in drawing production for all three structures.
