As a part of my Clinical Psychology studies, I had the opportunity to carry out a placement at Tai Aroha a residential treatment centre for those who of High Risk of Violent Offending. During this placement I was able to carry out an assessment for risk of reoffending and became familiar with group treatment for violent offending, communication skills similar to those taught in DBT groups and the Risk, Need, Responsivity Model.
