  Served as leader of a family and fraternal organization with 400+ members that provides charitable service to the Catholic Church and local community. This was a part-time volunteer position. I was elected twice to one-year terms as Grand Knight of Council 6175. Our achievements during my tenure included the following: (1) Raised over $17,000 to support programs for the intellectually disabled in Virginia (2) Awarded $6,000 in scholarships to local high school students (3) Assisted several other charities such as Special Olympics through our "Helping Hands" program. (4) Achieved dramatic improvement in the organization's financial status through sale of Council Home. This led to a renewed focus on charitable service vs. building maintenance.
