      Lablup (Backend.AI) provides cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. I conduct the research of developing and applying Hybrid Neural Networks to the mouse brain EEG data in order to predict if young mouse will have degenerative brain disease in the future.       Held position as a researcher and data scientist at Who's Good. Was a member of the Business Development Team. Tech team admin of 7 people. Quantitative Research team lead of 3 researchers for Financial Impact of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance extra-financial data) incidents. Determined the short-term impact of ESG news on firms' equity price and volatility. Identified the increased volatility of Kospi 200 index as a result of ESG incidents. Created normalized ESG scores that do not have market cap bias. Most of the normalized ESG scores outperform the benchmark in the financial index in comparison to firms size biased scores. Established clear relationships between ESG scores and firms profitability metrics, such as Return-on-Equity. Managed the entire ESG framework using MS SQL database engine. Took part in econometric research for the National Assembly of Korea in order to determine which micro-economic indicators correlated with GDP OECD country growth. Constructed multivariate linear regression model and applied a correlation-based feature extraction algorithm to determine which factors are the most important in terms of relation with GDP growth. Research published name (NABO 기업 지속가능가치와 경제 지속성장간, Corporate sustainability value, and economic sustainability). As my personal projects, I developed an ML model using Gradient Boosted Trees to forecast stock returns of the Korean market and tested on the 2018 year. Dataset consisting of 200 Korean companies was used with Smart Beta indicators. Currently researching for new ways to improve ML performance by analyzing random walk in time-series. Created a method to use ML model output as a weight to construct stock Index portfolio which had fewer losses in 2018 year in comparison to Kospi 200 Benchmark index. ML model generated index had higher Sharpe ratio and lower beta in a downtrend market. Show less
