Project management experience across a number of renewable energy projects including wind, solar PV and shallow geothermal developments. Experience in virtually all stages of project development including feasibility studies, Energy Yield Assessments, site visits, stake-holder discussions, refinancing and financial modelling exercises and renewable energy policy reviews. Recent experience of thermal power stations following a three month period on site as a trainee at Erzin Power Plant, Turkey. Management of the due diligence, acquisition and subsequent refinancing of six solar PV plants in the south of England totalling 40MW, working closely with two banks and an infrastructure investment firm throughout the process. Complete due diligence process for over 100MW of solar PV plants in India on behalf of a multinational electric utility. In depth experience of drilling processes associated with the development of boreholes for geothermal heat pump installations and experience in the management of a range of borehole pump tests at different sites across the UK. Responsible for data analysis of water level and temperature data from operational geothermal heat pump schemes with experience in water sampling and chemical analysis. Possession of a solid understanding of the marine sector, with a particular strength in ocean current energy and associated technology after completing a dissertation using Computational Fluid Dynamics to improve the performance of tidal stream turbines. Recently involved with the review of the DECC Cost of Generation study, working with developers in the marine sector to identify current and future trends in the cost of electricity generation using marine power. Graduated with a 2:1 in MEng Sustainable Engineering in July 2011.Third year dissertation focused on improving the efficiency of tidal stream energy capture by applying aerodynamic principles to tidal stream turbine blades.Fourth year MEng group project focused on generating electricity from water flowing through pipes using a direct drive turbine, as well as pumping and stopping the flow of water with the same device.
