Through genetic manipulation of Drosophila, we aim 1) to determine the regulatory pathway/network of innate immune response to microbial or viral infection; 2) to reveal the molecular and cellular mechanism for the eco-immunological regulations of mucosal immunity, gut commensal micro flora and obesity; We also investigate the underlying machenisms of the chronic infection in mice, with particular interest in how HCV evades innate and adaptive immunity.
