9th Grade Academy: Integrated Earth and Physical Science; Biology Centennial is one of New Mexico's newest high schools, opening its doors to students for the first time during the 2012-2013 academic school year. We are a four-year comprehensive high school with a curriculum focused on three career academic clusters. Cluster A: Hospitality & Tourism; Cluster B: STEM; and Cluster C: Criminal Justice Education. Our name is a celebration of the centennial, or 100th anniversary, of our statehood. On June 21, 1910 President William H. Taft announced the signing of a bill that added "Two new stars on the American Flag," as he put it, making New Mexico and Arizona America's newest states. On January 6th, 1912 New Mexico officially became the 47th state of the Union. Show less
