I do a little bit of everything, from Video, Audio, Event technology, editing events, media transfers, TV Studio Production, PC Troubleshooting, Radio work, Digital Media and Independent Student film support, fix things, troubleshoot things, show other people how to do things, run a Digital Media Checkout Lab, handle vendors, research Technology in all these areas, help people not be scared of said technology, empower educators and students with tools to make their lives easier and more professional. I also help run the University Help Desk with a specific eye towards the Technology used, and the Faculty and Students of the Online, Graduate, and Degree Completion programs. Show less

The second part of my job in IT at JBU is fun and challenging in different ways. In the evenings You can usually find me at the University Help Desk. We have taken on the task to help people beyond the basics they need for JBU. We are aware that if their technology is not working right on any level that it will interfere with their JBU experience. With that in mind, I work on traditional Undergraduate (and brave Degree completion or Graduate) students computers(hardware and software) on a regular basis. I enjoy being able to recover someone's data from a "dead" hard drive and make their life a whole lot less complicated than they thought it was going to be. I troubleshoot students technology and issues over the phone as well, just like a traditional ISP help desk might. I enjoy helping people to not be scared of technology. I like to empower educators and students with tools to make their lives easier and more professional. I'm at the Help Desk primarily with an eye towards the Technology used by, and the Faculty and Students of the Online, Graduate, and Degree Completion programs....but I help whoever calls or comes by. I love helping people. Show less
