Lab of bioimaging probe development (LBPD) have developed a diversity‐oriented fluorescent library approach (DOFLA) which covers covers whole visible light to NIR (400-850nm) range, and demonstrated various cell‐type‐selective chemical probes through unbiased phenotypic screenings.Tumour initiating cells (TICs), also known as cancer stem cells (CSCs) have been implicated in clinical relapse and metastasis of a variety of epithelial cancers. To visualise and isolate TICs in different cancers, TIC-specific universal fluorescent chemical probe, TiY, was developed through DOFLA. At high concentration, TiY showed anti‐TIC activity with low toxicity to non‐TICs. Show less
