Alan worked for me between 2008 and 2013 at Rentokil Initial. He was responsible for the management and development of Rentokil's IT Network Infrastructure in Asia covering 12 countries. Alan is extremely reliable as I could dependent on him on design, development, implementation, and on-going support relating to IT networks, servers, end user devices, storage systems, data centers, group ware, IT security and etc. Collaborating with Rentokil's Global team and 3rd party IT partners, Alan brought in innovation and delivered very cost effective Private Cloud Computing solutions enabling mobility capability and the lowest possible IT cost operating environment. He successfully consolidated the business application systems in Asia into the best in class VM Ware and NetApp SAN infrastructure hosted in a tier-3 Regional Data Center with very robust IT Disaster Recovery capability. An of course, this is only possible after he also successfully revamped the domestic and international network of these countries with over 50 office/branch locations. Another major achievement of Alan is the deployment of Google Enterprise systems 12 countries in Asia covering all computer users. The transition from locally hosted Group Ware solutions to this Public Cloud Group Ware solution was seamless and cost effective. These new capabilities enabled very cost effective collaboration among the business users in Asia across 12 countries. Alan has great sense of responsibility, he never complains about working at odd hours to resolve any IT operational issues. Under his management, I couldn't recall any major IT incident that had significantly interrupted the business operation. I would recommend Alan to any companies that demand an IT Infrastructure Director who can transform the legacy to the best in class, high availability and lowest possible cost IT network infrastructure.
