Loss Prevention Manager

I was picked by the Regional Loss Prevention Manager to work the Metcalf K-mart store, then, the largest K-mart in the country (prior to the Super-K era). Broke new records for arrests and recoveries at this facility, making nearly 100 arrests in the first year when the five years previous only had on average, one arrest per year.

Was promoted to Loss Prevention Manager by the Regional Loss Prevention Manager and this was my first managerial assignment. Previous managers had heavy losses and little arrests/recoveries. I proved my skills with myself and employees by significantly increases arrests/recoveries both internally and externally, leading to my transfer to a larger store.

Loss Prevention Associate

Responsible primarily for Internal and External investigations into store theft. At this time, the store did not have camera systems so a Loss Prevention Associate would pretend to be a shopper or come up with inventive ways to hide and watch shoppers that were possible shoplifters.
