Core duties are to provide data and reports to both the sales and purchasing team to support decision making. This involves producing high level sales and accounting reports to enable the business to react to market changes and trends. I am also responsible for developing ETL packages using SSIS and SQL Server. As part of my BI strategy, I build various dashboards and intelligent reports for the sales team, giving them full scope of the business and their performance. Additional duties include converting legacy access systems into a SQL Server environment, improving data access and processes to increase productivity and seek and identify 3rd party systems that can produce a better ROI.

Operating as a service desk system administrator, I also play a key role in the development of SQL reporting used by our managers and our customers. Typical duties include resolving queries and administering the data for the assyst service desk system. In addition, I am also responsible for producing complex reports using SQL Server and Crystal Reports. Another interesting aspect of my job is to take part in process improvement projects. This involves working onsite with our large clients, and negotiating work load, as well as producing contingency plans for future work. Additionally, I am also responsible for writing any documentation for work completed and keeping the project plan up to date for our team.

C# HTML Developer
-
Jul 2013 - Sep 2013
Operated as a C# Web developer for a graphic design company in Preston. Working remotely, I created my own development life cycle and worked toward milestones and informed the client every step of the way. The end product was an online, web based booking system for a busy restaurant. To build the system, I used C# to write an algorithm that calculated the total number of bookings being made at one time. From this, I created database tables using SQL compact, and mitigated the data based on the algorithm results. Finally, I designed a user friendly interface using HTML and CSS that made the process seamlessly easy to use for the user.

This was achieved with a combination of detailed forms and macros that carried out several tasks automatically.Following the Agile method, I was responsible for liaising with stakeholders, arranging and running meetings, as well as gathering requirements on an ad hoc basis. Secondly I was responsible for ensuring the system reflected that of the data dictionary and data model.
